Short film submissions for SERA 2026 in Adelaide this October are now open.

We invite you to share stories of ecological restoration - from on-ground practice and research journeys to community partnerships and landscape change.

Selected films will be:

• screened at a dedicated conference film night
• available to all delegates
• featured on the SERA YouTube channel following the conference

• a brief (100-word) summary
• a link to your film

Selection criteria

Films will be reviewed based on their relevance to conference themes. We welcome a wide range of submissions, and amateur filmmakers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional information

The number of films selected will depend on the quality and volume of submissions.

Marketing-focused projects are eligible, however preference will be given to non-promotional work.

There are no strict length requirements, though shorter films are encouraged.

We look forward to bringing these stories to life on screen and sharing the work, people and places shaping restoration across our region.
